Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
In our modern world, we often get caught up in external, intellectualized pursuits of faith. We seek connection in books, buildings, and grand institutional programs. Yet the scriptures point us to a far simpler, more intimate truth: the temple of the Creator is not built of stone or wood—it is the living soul, housed within the physical body.
The breath of life (Genesis 2:7) is not a metaphor. Each inhalation is the receiving of the divine spark, and each exhalation is a natural surrender, returning that life-force back to the source. When we slow down, close our eyes, and breathe with awareness, we realize that God is omnipresent, in us, and part of our conscious being and soul.
The Pillars of Stillness
In Pasadena, our micro-church focuses on silent meditation, structured breath work, prayer, and sacred movement to bring this awareness into daily action. We believe that by aligning the physical frame with the inner breath, we ground our conscious being. We are not trying to reach a distant deity; we are facilitating space to recognize the omnipresent Creator already dwelling within.
As you move through your day, remember that you are a living prayer. Take a moment to pause, drop into your heart, take a deep breath, and align yourself with the divine spirit that animates you. You are never separate from the source of all life.
